Dr Kathy Cornack from Holistic Vets Newcastle is one of our “go to” partners when we need medical input in our work with reactive and anxious dogs. We are also very proud to be able to engage her as assessor in our work with assistance dogs working towards their Public Access Tests.


Dr Kathryn Stalder and her team at Nelson Bay Vet Clinic proudly promote the fact that they are a “fear free clinic”, helping animals to accept and feel comfortable with procedures in the clinic. We are proud to be able to deliver our puppy school in this forward-thinking clinic.

Dr Mark Dowden and his team at Salamander Bay Vet Clinic have been providing care for Port Stephens animals, big or small, with all the attention they deserve for over 20 years. Their clinic is open 7 days a week, enabling access during extended hours. We proudly look after the puppy school for this clinic.

Dr Kerrie Woollams and her committed team at Shoal Bay Vet Clinic have been providing veterinary care for over 20 years for the local community. We are proud to be the puppy school providers for this clinic as well!

 

Katrina Ridley has been delivering the gentle, non-invasive body therapy that is Bowen Therapy to humans for over 20 years. Now that she has expanded to treating our local dogs with Animal Bowen Care dog owners continue to be amazed that their pets are experiencing relief for a host of physical and emotional challenges.

The Petshop Boyz have worked in conjunction with our Newcastle dog training and Newcastle puppy training programs for many years now.

Port Stephens Pet Barn has been servicing this community since 2004. It was the brain child of Joel Robinson who had wanted to own a petshop since he was in primary school. No request is too small or too outrageous. Joel and his team will go above and beyond to source all your pets’ needs and give sound advice. They are even happy to tell you about our Port Stephens dog training and Port Stephens puppy training programs.

Kare Kanine
is a dog minding and dog walking service, established in 2018 by Millie Buck. Millie and her team offer services that include in-home minding of your dog, walking services, off-leash play where appropriate, walking service followed by a bath and blow-dry. This is a well thought-out service that has truly taken off since its inception; peace of mind when you need to be away from home and your dog.

Nativewood Chocolate Labradors is located in the Hunter Valley. Brett Dunphy brings his Agriculture degree and passion for genetics into his breeding program. He brings to the dog world some of the most soundly reared and beautiful Chocolate Labradors we’ve seen. What we love about Brett is his careful screening of potential homes and human families for his carefully raised pups. Nativewood Chocolate Labradors is the heritage of our beautiful Lakota.

ADA, Assistance Dogs Australia is the charity of choice for Barkers in Balance. ADA trains assistance dogs that are given to all ages of recipients who apply and are lucky enough to be chosen. A wide range of physical, emotional and mental challenges for the humans are considered. There is no government funding for this program and each puppy costs in excess of $20,000 to train.
