Prim & Proper Poodles
Poodle enthusiasts are among the proudest of all breed owners. Whether its a have a Standard, Miniature or Toy Poodle all have the same build and proportions. Poodles have physical grace, exceptional intelligence and remarkable athletic ability. You have probably heard or seen the stereotypes of poodles as foo-foo dogs or pocket purses, but poodles are very intelligent, active, and a great companion. Many breeds are bred with partial poodle because their ‘hair’ not fur is great for not shedding all over the place!

Here are some stories from some of our lovely poodles dogs that have attended our puppy classes, privates or good manners classes over the last couple of years!
MY NAME IS SAMSON.
I’m a Standard Poodle and I’m two years old. I’m an angel …when the humans are home. When they’re gone I jump at the back fences and bark at anything I feel is an invader. My humans were perplexed and frustrated, wondering how they could train me when they’re not here. Well, we’ve started with calming exercises when they are at home and routines that encourage calmness, especially in the yard. Then we’ve looked at enrichment activities to keep me busy when they are not at home. My humans are also thinking of changing me to a more natural diet to see if that gives me a more “satisfied” feeling. We’re going to practise for a few weeks and then get back to you all. Thanks for reading my story.
MY NAME IS QUEENIE
I m a distracted little toy poodle but I graduated puppy school and Good Manner Classes! I am slowly becoming more focused on exercises and less distracted with what was happening around the class.
